During the months of September through November every year, Costa Rica receives an important number of migratory species from the north. Winter residents can then be spotted easily all throughout the country, and important numbers of winter migrants follow specific paths along the national territory on their way south. The Birdwatching Migration Programs provide participants with a wide range of habitats in different regions of Costa Rica, along with strategic locations for the better chances in terms of the observation of winter migrants flocks.
