"For years your country has been the Mecca for birders and we had read about the infinite variety of birds and the opportunities to see them in the beauty of Costa Rica. Your planning and guidance throughout our stay made our expectations a reality. We were never disappointed, with each day bringing a new adventure, presenting a different aspect of the wide diversity of the country. Thank you so very much for the thoughtful note. Your continuing courtesy is like the amazing care and considerations you have demonstrated since my very first contact with you in November. What a pleasure to deal with you! As to the company of Pedro...he was perfectly wonderful. There was not one minute of my tour with him that I was unhappy with his company and assistance. He demonstrated the same qualities of love for his natural surroundings that I was so taken with seeing in Paolo on the television program, Bay Area Backroads. In addition, it was wonderful to observe how others - strangers and acquaintances - took to him like a magnet. A very powerful, gracious presence. We had many delightful and searching conversations about many subjects - both of us, it seems, are multidimensional and a bit restless, intellectually. I had a VERY good experience in your country. On Monday when I returned to work, my coworkers were eager to hear about my travels and see the pictures that I had taken on the trip and had processed Sunday after I returned.
